Wedding
I will be attending a wedding on Saturday and would like a few phrases with which to converse intelligently with the bride and groom. The ceremony will be Sikh. Our neighbors are from India and speak English well. I would like to be able to talk to them and their friends using a chosen words.

Language pair: English; Punjabi

This is perhaps the safest and most obvious across the board. I'm not sure how further to help as they could speak any number of regional dialects from punjabi to marathi, none of which i know. But that is good one.
