Tag Mara - Ich spreche Englisch (USA) und ein bisschen Deutsch. Ich will besser Deutsch lernen. Leider bin ich ein bisschen alter - alt genug ich kann Ihre Mutter sei! Aber wir konnen noch raden. Ich habe zwei Junge, der (?) 15 und 12 Jahren alt sind. (Ich weiss, dass Ich schreibe mit kein umlauts, aber ich weiss dass nicht am Computer!)

I am from England and i might be moving to cyprus soon so i am willing to help you get better at your english if you can help me with my greek. i do not knw alot of greek but my dad is from cyprus so i need to learn greek asap so i dont look like a fool when i move to cyprus.

Hallo Jennifer,
ich finde dein deutsch ist schon recht gut! Gern helfe ich dir in deutsch, es ist außerdem nicht schlimm das du älter bist als ich. Ich weiß nicht ob du das hier soweit verstehst.. aber somit wäre das auch gleich eine Übung für dich ;) .. von mir aus können wir uns doch gern abwechseln mit dem Sprachen lernen.. du schreibst mir alles in Englisch und ich dir in Deutsch..so können wir beide gleich mehr von der anderen Sprache lernen... und wenn du willst können wir dann auch mal so wechseln..das wir mal beide in Deutsch schreiben..und dann mal ganz in Englisch...
was hälst du davon??? :)

Hello Mara - Thanks for writing back. I was working yesterday. I teach music to early childhood music classes in preschools. It is hard going back to work after vacation. We don't have as long a vacation as you do in Germany. School and work starts right after New Year on January 4. I understood all of your German except for the last sentence "was halst du davon" was bedeutet das? Und sagt man "tschus" oder Tschou mehr oft oder sind die worte die selbe?

Sorry that I write to late back…but I have fairly school strut....
Wow! You are a music teacher?? ( I love music!) I have also again school… since the 4. January. You understand all me German? Cool^^ ... I understand you’re English, too!
Has yours keyboard umlauts? Then "halst" is it not of the Germans grammar, "hältst“ is the right word (over the "a" must tow strokes.. = „ä" and this letter is a umlaut).
It is actual equal what you say... you can say "tschüs" and you can say "tschau" (At "tschüs" is it a umlaut, too... hier ist das Umlaut aber bei dem "u". Aus dem "u" wird einfach ein "ü" gemacht)
Und verstehst du auch mein Englisch etwas?

Hallo Jennifer,
ich habe deine Post noch gefunden, tutm ir sehr leid das ich dir erst so spät antworte, von mir aus können wir sehr gern eine Zeit lang deutsch schreiben und ich würde dann auch gern eine Zeit lang englisch mit dir schreiben wollen, wenn das in Ordnung wäre.
Ich hoffe du kannst das alles hier verstehen und wenn nicht, übersetzte ich es dir auch gern nochmal ins Englische ;)
