I'm a musical instrument builder who used to be a software test engineer. I have a lot of interests, but learning new things is my favorite interest. I play traditional music on recorder and fiddle, observe the night sky, read lots of books (astronomy and astrophysics, fiction, cognitive science, lots more...). I took up learning Welsh because I've had a long standing unexplored interesting the country, particularly the mountains, but mainly because the program I learning from piqued my interest and I was curious to learn their methodology. I'm loving it. I especially love when something that buffaloed me last week turns up feeling comfortable and natural two weeks later. But I need to chat with other learners, and I don't have high speed internet, so I can't do Zoom, which I dislike anyways. I'm looking forward to stumbling around getting things wrong! which the Saysomethingin folks say is a very important part of learning to speak a language....
