Procrastinate means to generally take a long time to do something, but isn't a word we would normally use for "beating around the bush", though the meaning is close. I'm not sure if there is one word for that phrase.

To procrastinate means to not do anything when something needs to be done. To beat around the bush means to say a lot but not get to the point. They do not mean the same thing.

Instead of "To procrastinate", in Spanish we say "posponer"
