1. battle in Italian

Great movie! Directed by an excellent, not so famous, Italian director: Gillo Pontecorvo. That movie shows the fall of French colonial rule in Algeria, and especially the warfare in the city of Algeri. It is still a model for military professionals to study (nowadays, also by American officers in Baghdad). 'Battaglia' has that Italian sound made by 'G-L-I', hard to pronounce also for Italian children, and a double 'T' just before the stress (that is on the second 'A'). It must be one of the hardest word for English native speakers.
