Making students feel comfortable and empowering their use of the new language are the most important components of my teaching style. I use a lot of encouragement and positive reinforcement , and try to get students to speak even if they are unsure of themselves. The best way to do this is through games and targeting their interests. Repetition is also a key component of my teaching approach, as well as peer and group learning. |

Activity with a small class of 20 students of 35 minutes I could plan many activities for this time limit. One such activity would be: (for the age group of 15 to 17 years) to divide the class in groups of 4 or 5. Each group will receive a personality´s picture. They will describe the person using various parts of speech. Say, 10 sentences each group. The groups will try to guess each other’s secret personality by posing questions. The team that guesses the answer with the fewest number of questions would be the winner. Another example (situation) I have been a language trainer for a group of 15 professionals who intended to travel abroad. The MNC that they worked for hired me to train them in basic language skills, focusing on day to day formal and informal communication .
