Through her teaching Zhang laoshi inspires me to learn even more. Teaching is a noble profession that shapes the character of an individual. Zhang laoshi encapsulate all the five qualities of a good teacher and beyond, because teaching is a vocation and Zhang laoshi was born to teach, she is very dedicated to this art. She is patient, enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, disciplined and also kind, amiable and creative. She cares for the students development and success in their studies. She is also a friend and she welcomes questions any time. Zhang laoshi is very helpful and she design class material specifically around my interest in Chinese culture. For example I like Chinese calligraphy very much and she provided the class material around this subject, making it very engaging and fun. She puts a lot of work into the presentation of the class material and it is so helpful that she gives recordings of the new words and phrases. To have the opportunity to study with Zhang laoshi is truly a gift. She is an inspiring teacher that provides quality learning because she is passionate about teaching. Her teachings help me to learn not only this beautiful language but also about the culture and the traditions of China.
