Re:Texas boy needs help from Bosnian Speakers
Hi you all
Unfortunately, don't know the song. By chance, is it a folk - pop one...eheh, good taste:) Anyway, here's the translation:
Pitalo se srce moje - My heart was wondering
Reci cemo Da - We'll say yes
Keep enjoying the music. Bye

Re:Re:SERBIAN/CROATIAN/BOSNIANH
Hi, Daisy! There are some lessons from me here, but they are just as a kind of window, so that the interested persons can recognize, what are the main features of the language. There are more to follow. But if you are already studying it, they will be of little use for you. Anyway if you have some questions, just post them on the board. I’ll answer them. And don’t believe that you can learn any language quickly, especially not the Serbian/Croat/Bosnian.

Re:Seeking to learn Bosnian and German, but would like a few words translated
Well, my mother tongue is serbian but the language the bosnians and croats call bosnian and croat respectively is more than 90 % the same thing. The difference between those languages isn't bigger than between german spoken in the south and in the north of Germany. So if I give you serbian translation for your selected words, be shure everybody in Bosnia and Hercegovina or in Croatia will understand them. Hello! // zdravo ! halo ! // Hei ! Grüss Dich ! Goodbye // zdravo ! dovidjenja ! cao // Tschüss ! Auf Wiedersehen ! Thank You // hvala // Danke
I don't know how you are going to pronounce them but try to avoid the tipicaly american diphongisation of the vowels. <a> is like <a> in <but>; <o> is like <o> in <onion>.
Dovidjenja // Tschüss
