Japanese Characters on English Computer
Does anyone know how I can type Japanese characters on an English keyboard/computer? I would like to be able to learn kana (and eventually kanji) and so would like to be able to use these in my languauge exchange. I've tried searching for how to do it but can't make any sense of it!

Re:Japanese Characters on English Computer
Microsoft Japanese IME. Microsoft has a built in tool to write in Japanese. You just go into your language tab in your system options in your control panel in Windows XP/98/95. Click add a language and choose Japanese. It'll ask for your Microsoft Windows DVD and isntall it. Then in the lower right corner of your screen, you can pick Japanese instead of English and choose what type of kana or kanji.
Voila! Done!
If you dont have your windows CD, look online via google for Microsoft Japanese IME and you can dl it form microsoft.com
