ER (Ask all the Korean speakers' help???)
Hi there,

Any one could tell me how to deal with Korean teacher? In Korean Culture what is the relationship between teacher and student? I understand that student have to repect teacher. Except that any other rules I should follow since my supervisor is from Korean? I am afraid that I would offend him in some way

Many thanks

Sue

Sue,
generally, respect is a very important virtue in the asian society. Be careful of raising you voice, or even be "too friendly" as most asians are conservative and such acts are deemed unlady-like. At meals, try not to decline if your boss orders more than enough to eat. It is asian tradition to show the generousity of the host. Well, there are like alot more. so take your time to learn.
