I grew up in from New York, but am originally from Ukraine. I have been trying to learn Japanese on and off for the last 10 years. Other than the simple things, my vocabulary is lacking and I cannot read kanji. I really feel awkward when attempting to speak with people. Any help would be most appreciated. I took Japanese Language classes 15 years ago but I never got to use it. Now I find myself living in Japan and I want to pick up the language again and I would like to have some conversational fluency in it. I love to cook, travel, and hanging out with friends, family, and my cats.
