Re:Mensaje para Kyle May
Hola kyle,When you say "me llamo kyle" it's as you say "my name is kyle" you can't translate the language word by word but getting the sense, in English you don't say "I call myself" and in spanish we use to say "me llamo" more than "mi nombre es", but it is also correct. Once you have introduced yourself, for example: -Hola, me llamo kyle. It can be answered: -Mucho gusto (de conocerte) -El gusto es mío. you are right in the translation. It is a very formal way to introduce yourself, when you are with friends you can say " hola, qué tal". I hope it was useful for you. Hasta luego. Almudena

Re:teachers'exchange forum
DearLucy, Nice to meetyou. Am a french teacher in Lagos,Nigeria. Teacher is not really easy. One has tolove it and to be able to impart it to others. It has "ups and downs" for me i try try my methodologiy to see that my students gain something at the end of theday. A french writer says this i quote" Un travail simple aux tyravaux ennuyeux est une ouvre de choix qui veut beaucoup d'amour". Teaching is like taking care of a new born baby: it demands love, patience at all time even if it doesn't seem so.
Ma chere, Bon Courage.

Mensaje para Kyle May
hola mi llamo es kyle. yo was wondering if you can help me in spanish. Because i am failing my class
When you say "me llamo" that means something like "I call myself..." That way you don't have to use "es". The correct form is "me llamo Kyle". Once you introduce yourself the other person could say: "mucho gusto", that means something like "I'm pleased to meet you".
