Wanting to learn Japanese

Hello! this site is a fantastic idea!
I live in a tourist area in Cornwall, so I meet a lot of people from overseas, and would really love to improve my French and German (which are very poor - I can give directions) and learn Dutch (because the Dutch are always so friendly and I feel horrible because I don't speak any of their language.)I feel sad that people are kept apart by silly little things like words. By the way - I am an artist/writer, into green issues, Buddhism, etc.
