I so good understand what means "poor fish". ;-)
Usually this specific slang is used widely in many various dating and marriage agencies (including internet) for male foreigners in Russia, which is like spawnings with male and female fishermans hunting for stupid peoples (for "easy fish"). There is a start-points of covered false and criminal.
Unconscience slang "poor fish" is means "I don't want this people" or "I don't want to continue any relations with this people". It's like good fisherman can put small or ill unwanted fish back to the river for other time or for other fishermen even.
Russian girls usually says "poor fish" about a poor foreigner acquinter in his web.
Pitiful hard slang...

Hi,
i don't think it is an german word.
It is a method how to learn a language... probably invented by a french(??) guy with that name.
You wont learn how to read and write. Pimsleur is speaking and listing only.
I hope that is correct ;-)
