The difference in dialect between Latin american and Spain?
I'm writing a book and the main character is from spain. In the book i have him speaking in his own language when he is talking to his friend. Which is not a big deal, i do know alot of language and when i'm not sure i have alot of native speakers of the language i know to ask... the problem is.. I know speakers from ecuador. I know that there is a difference but i have no one i know from spain that i can ask.

What i need is a basic idea of how they speak in spain... slang expresions, the accent, and anything else that will help.
