looking for a native English speaker as my language partner(Calgary,UoC )
Hello everyone!I'm Isabelle from Beijing,China. I'm looking for a native English speaker as my language partner, located in Calgary (I live near UoC ).
If you wanna learn Mandarin/Chinese, we could teach each other our mother language which I believe is the most efficient way to prove language skills, plus a bridge to understand another society.
I was an editor/journalist in Beijing for several years, I think I would be good at teaching you both speaking and writing Chinese. Besides that, you could get to know more about Chinese culture. I'm fond of reading, movie, sport&communicating with people.and I love cat :D I hope you are also an interesting, optimistic person.
If you are interested, pls leave a message.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Re:Chinese Slang?
Hi Fern!

The zenme yang in Chinese is different from "hey What's up", It is widely used in some situation like asking people about the opinion or describe the things how is it.

For instance, you ask a guy how do he like the food or clothes, "ni jue de zen me yang?"

Hope this reply will help you.

Chinese Slang?
Hello! My name is Fern and I would like to be able to use slang in Chinese. I know how to say "what's up?"~"zenme yang"~ but I don't think that is the same as it is used in English.
