"Just chillin" in my perspective is "I'm fine, just hanging out". It's a slang words during conversation, when you ask your friend, what are you doing?, most of my friend would say,, nothing just chilling" meaning they're just hanging around their house or wherever they are. Hope it makes sense.....

In American proper english, chilling does mean cold, but in street slang it means "relaxing" or "spending the day doing nothing" Hope this helps! ~ Ahlam
