Re:Re:Help with slang for paper
I also live in the Midwest, in Wisconsin, and we think its goony when people say they wanta pop. Everyone I know says soda. I went down south recently, and every type of soda was called "Coke." It was interesting.

I need a help to write an essay which is the topic, slang
I am writing an essay about useful slang that can help non-native English speaker. I really need some advises and examples about advantages and disadvantages to learn slang.
I think the advantages are 1. slang will help their English better as various useful expressions 2. slang will help to understand better about American culture 3. slang will help make us intimate each other
and the disadvantage is 1. if they learn first bad slang before they learn good slang, slang will make their English vulgar
I have no idear what slang is applied advantages #1,2,3 If you could help me, I'm really appreciated it. Have a nice day^^
