Hi All,
Saw this msg board and thought I would recommend some good books for you to enjoy:
1) Shantaram - Gregory David Roberts (abt an escapee from an Australian Jail who finds himself in India)
2) The Scillian - Mario Puzo - the novel sequel to the "Godfather" and dare I say a better book!
3) The 5 people you meet in heaven - Mitch Albom - small book but has a big impact!
4) The Book Thief - Marcus Zuzack - set in Germany during WW2.
If anyone has suggestions of worthy reads (esp. those set in foreign countries/travel narratives) would love to hear from you!!
Hasta Luego!

Re:Re:Come together!
Re:Come together! hello,
I look for people all over the world to translate the following poem in their native speaking language. It is a poem from Rabindranath Tagore (Thukhur). Here it is:
"Listen my heart to the wispering of the world, with which it courts for your love. Open your doors and recognize the melody of luck and joy, the one which swings in all things."
Hi Johanna! Here's the translation is portuguese: 'Ouve o meu coração, para o susurrar do mundo, com o qual pede o teu amor. Abre as tuas portas e reconhe a melodia de sorte e amor, aquele que balança em todas as coisas'

Re:Re:Re:Re:Hello! Lets discuss books)
Hia! I read "The Picture of Dorian Grey" when I was about 13 or 14 and I just love the story.
I'm not really sure, if Basil actually loves Dorian in the way we would understand to love a person in a "normal" way (if there's a normal way^^). I guess - because he's an artist - he loves beauty and Dorian is beautiful. It's a sort of love. A poetic, but also blinded love ;)
