Just moved to Daejeon, looking for local friends and help
Hi all, I just arrived in Daejeon yesterday night, and it's freezing! I'm staying at a foreign friend's place, on his couch, while I look for a place to stay. I will also start studying at HNU (Hannam University) tomorrow. I don't know any Korean yet, but maybe in a couple months I'll start being able to speak and understand a little. ;)
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone lives in Daejeon (or even around HNU if possible) and would like to be friends? To go out, maybe look for an apartment together, have dinner together, do whatever is fun, and show me around the city. The next week I could especially use a good friend to help me get situated here. The sooner, the better! I'm sorta homeless at the moment with only one friend, who works all day and doesn't speak Korean, and I don't speak Korean, and I must start a new life here. It'd be nice to make some good friends early. Let me know if your interested and we can talk.

By the way, if you are Chinese, or can speak Chinese, that would be great also, as I can speak Chinese.

I share some similar interests - I'm interested in improving French as well as Cantonese and Mandarin. I', Chinese Malaysian but British now an English is my native language , but I also speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Malay, some Indonesian and bien sur, un petit peau Francais UNE LANGUAGE j'ADORE . Je aussi ameliore mon Francais et les dialects Chinoises. I'm not a gold member. I 've been thining of going to Hongkong to teach English - I'm 58 years old - I simply like to widen my circle of global speakers.
