I am a native English speaker who wants to study foreign languages. I am currently here to learn Japanese. I see foreign languages as a secret code to be broken. The rewards are great.
I like cats, action movies, reading books, world history, cooking, candy, ice cream, world events and video games. I like to get involved in social justice issues. I live in Canada.
PS I really love cats. I live in a nursing home and I am missing having a cat a lot. (I am 42 years old.) This latter sentence may kill any hope of friendship on this board, but I feel I must explain why it is that I cannot fulfil my dream to study abroad and travel the world. The best I can hope for is to bring the world to me.

Re:Hello
To the 25 year old living in Tokyo. I'm interested in learning Japanese and can help you with English. It's been 20 years since I studied French, but it is one of my country's national languages. I love cooking, studying other languages and cultures. I like to read a lot and study history. My legs do not work, so I can't travel to Japan, but you will find me a fast learner and an excellent teacher. The doctors pulled me out of the regular school system when I was five to teach me to get dressed and to walk with a walker. I was in that training school so long I should have been unable to read. But because my parents got three newspapers every day and because I read everything I could get. I graduated from high school with an 80% average and multiple language certificates and a scholarship. My mind is equal to anyone with two working feet if not better. Your writing system could pose a problem, so I may have to use romanji, (I think you call it that) as my hands don't work well. I have to at least recognize Japanese characters and find a way to form them
