In Finland wannabe customers are turned away if they are visibly drunk or if they are likely to cause trouble. The doorman decides, more or less sovereignly, who belongs to the latter category.

Re: A joke for all you English-learners
That's a good question.
Let me see, a bartender can refuse to serve drinks to someone who is already very drunk.
Some stores and restaurants post signs saying "No shoes, no shirt, no service." So topless and barefoot people would be turned away from those places.
These days, I think that's all. But people in our country have a long history of being much more discriminatory in terms of serving people of other races and nationalities, even up until the civil rights movement in the 60's.
Anyway, I assume that's where the "we don't serve your kind here" line comes from...sometimes you'll hear it in old movies. And I'm sure it still happens in some places here, I just don't see it.
Does that answer your question? Does anybody else have discriminatory bartenders and waiters in their country?

Another bar joke
A rope walks into a bar. (Yes, a rope. Bear with me here.)
The bartender says "I'm sorry, you're going to have to leave. We don't serve your kind here."
The rope leaves the bar, then proceeds to tie himself into knot and tear away at the ends of his fibers.
He walks back into the bar. The bartender says "Now hold on a minute. Aren't you that rope?"
The rope replies "Nope. I'm a frayed knot."
Hee hee.

A joke for all you English-learners
A mushroom walks into a bar. The bartender says "I'm sorry, you're going to have to leave. We don't serve your kind here."
The mushroom replies, "Why not? I'm a fungi."
(Get it? Fun guy? Fungi is the plural form of fungus. A mushroom is a fungus..."
ha ha ha
Okay, it's kind of dumb. But come on, admit it, some of you laughed. :-)
