I am also teaching myself Japanese. I started last month. I know/understand quite a bit. I can now write in Hiragana. It is a challenge to learn but it is exciting. I would like make friends with a Japanese who speaks good English or a person who learned to speak Japanese. Thank you for reading this.

I am part-Japanese. I was born in Chiba Prefecture but moved to Samoa when I was very little. I am 20-years-old and would really like to learn to speak Japanese & hope to visit Japan very soon. I would like to help you with your English since it is the only language I speak fluently.
