Examples:

der Hund - mein Hund
die Tante - meine Tante
das Buch - mein Buch

Is this what you are asking about?

Hi Ashes!

Here some examples that should help you how to use the genitive.

Der Computer meines Freundes.

Die Freundin meines Kumpels heißt Anna.

The genitive form of my (mein) always requires a "es" (meines) at the end. For further questions contact me please.

Bye

Hi Christian.
obviously I'm not a buff in grammatical terms.
I have a second question in regard to the use of the genetive form.
If the 'friend-Freund' was female (or a feminine noun), as in 'Freundin', would the ending then change from 'es' to 'er'?
Der Computer meiner Freundin?

Yes, it would.
For male and neutral nouns its "meines",
for female ones "meiner". That's all.
