Hi there! I'm from Russia and I only start to learn English. Because I'm from Russia I really want to know what books of russian author you read in your life? And what books you are advise for me? Thanks in advance! I'm sorry for the mistakes!!!

Hello Anna. I have only read the the Russian Film Director Andrey Tarkovsky's book "Sculpting in Time". It is interesting, especially him saying that Time is the primary medium of Cinema.

I have met many people who have read many Russian authors and I have heard many writers including English speaking ones who have been inspired by Russian authors. Vladimir Nabokov is probably the greatest Russian writer so far or at least that's what many people claim.

Maybe Ernest Hemingway, Stephen King or Martin Amis might be a good place to start reading an English language book.
