Re:What does thang mean?
It means the same thing as "thing"..it's just a different way of saying it. 2 types of persons in the US use the word "thang". Southerners and African American persons. It is often used with the term of endearment "Sweet Thang". It sounds better than saying Sweet Thing..as someone is a possession or something. Thang is more "light". Hope that helps!

Re:What does thang mean?
Hey, I would somewhat agree, with the first reply; however, I would also say that it is used after an adjective to increase the intimacy and flirtatiousness and cuteness of the thing being described. it can also be used in front of a title, such as..."miss thang". Which would mean that the person they are talking to is a big deal.... D

Re:What does thang mean?
Hi, I would agree with the last two posts, but I think it is important to point out that "thang" is a slang word. A lot of people (especially older people) that live here wouldn't use this word. I think it is most commonly used in music, rap, r&b, even country. "sweet thang" and "miss thang" are absolutely the best examples. If you never have occation to say either of these phrases, it is probably best to avoid this word :) Best of luck...
