Ahaha...I always heard "Ay up" and I thought it was:"Hi ya!"!
What is "chappie" means?

"Chappie" is a colloquial form of the word "chap", a word more associated with the South East of England and used here to denote "person", usually in the masculine but this is the twenty-first century!

Does it help to correct your English? If not, please ignore the rest of this! :)

When asking for the meaning of words, use the verb "do" rather than "be" since having a meaning is considered to be an action rather than a state: 'What does "chappie" mean'.
