Anglophones (English speakears/English-speaking people) also say "as the crow flies" i.e. "the shortest distance is the distance as the crow flies."
Instead of "c'est toujours la ligne droite !", in English we say "is always a straight line"

Instead of "c'est toujours la ligne droite !", in Spanish we say "sigue siempre en línea recta"
