A reason I joined this thing is that I'm working hard on my Irish and improving fast. I'd love a pen-pal with better Irish than me.
Even more interesting than that would bein a pen pal with Scots-Gaelic, our beauiful sister-language. ;) Been watching a bit of BBC ALBA recently, understand a just a little more than a quarter (nearly half for kids programmes!).
I also speak fluent German and near-fluent Russian.

I am an Irish lady (aged 46)living in Dublin. I would like to improve my French. I can read it OK but do not speak it very well. I work in a senior management position with the Irish Government Finance Department -fascinating lol!! I need to improve my French language skills as I visit France each year. I watch TV5 here in Ireland, but sometimes find it very difficult to follow!
Dublin has many English language students as it is believed that English spoken in Ireland is the best! I look forward to hearing from you.
