I am a 59 year old man from the Midwest part of the United States, who is married with one child. I am a college professor at a small, private university. I enjoy learning new languages as a hobby. I will be taking a group of my students to a media conference in Bonn in September of 2019 so I am wanting to pick up some German before the trip.
I am starting pretty much at 'ground zero' in German. I am just starting to learn the basics of the language, so please be patient with me. But I will be happy to help you with your English at whatever level you are at and help take you to whatever level you wish to go.
I have lots of interests including popular media, travel, learning languages, religion, but would enjoy hearing from people with interests even different from mine.

(Afrikaans) By a quirk of good fate and excellent timing I am now the USA representative for two PHs (African hunting guides) in South Africa.
