What is the Featured Teacher Section?
The Featured Teacher section is designed to show the usefulness of this community and to reward effective teachers. It is designed to show that:
- Learners can find effective language lessons at this site.
- Teachers, tutors and schools can find paying, repeating language students.
How to be the Featured Teacher
To be chosen as the Featured Teacher, you
- Must have credible reviews written by one or more of your students.
Preference is given to:
- Reviews written by learners acquired at this site.
- Reviews where you and your student have spent significant time together in lessons.
- Reviews where your student scores you highly and expresses satisfaction in his/her message.
- Reviews that are credible in all respects.
- Must have a professional informative profile.
Preference is given to:
- Profiles that try to answer as many of the potential student's questions as possible.
- Profiles that describe your (unique) approach to language teaching.
- Profiles that describe (sell) the benefits of choosing you.
- Profiles that speak to the learner as a potential client (as opposed to simply listing past experiences similar to the style used in a resume.)
- Profiles that are professional and credible in all respects.
- The least consideration will be given to profiles that are nearly empty or simply ask the learner to conatact for more information.
What You Should Do Now
If you have students with whom you have spent significant time in lessons, you should ask them to write a review of you. You should also ensure your profile is professional and informative (as described above). New reviews are being evaluated regularly.
