English is my mother tongue, so I focus and place emphasis on using the language in situations that will arise on a day to day basis. Learning a language stimulates four different areas of the learning process which are listening, speaking, reading and writing. We will use all of these in every session.
My background is in Social Work and Psychology, but I have been teaching English in Helsinki for two years at the kindergarten level.
I believe that the best way for my students to succeed is to gain real life experience in the use of English. We may go to cafes, or hold practical exams in social situations where your developing skills can be put to the test.

I focus on maximizing student speaking time, no matter the level. Students are presented with a language target for each lesson and use that target through a series of exercises that progressively give students a chance to practice in a natural communication context.
