Well, after many years of teaching and studying TEFL professionall y, I should announce that the era of fixed teaching methods have finished. Therefore, I can not list a bunch of methods/appra oches I do use in my tutorials, it's better instead say that, in one word, I believe the best thing to do is to be as more adaptive as possible (Eclectic method). |

Living and working in the UK is the first step to mastering English. It often comes as a surprise to learners to find that what they have studied in their own country is of very little use when meeting and speaking with English people in England. They complain of people speaking too quickly, of not understanding phrasal verbs, for example, idioms and other such language skills, naturally acquired by nationals. My aim is to immerse students into real English by meeting people, experiencing real life situations together, backing this up with teaching all four skills, reading, writing, speaking and listening. Finding out about student needs is also imperative - why they want to learn English and finding the quickest way to achieving this goal. I am open and flexible to a student's needs and am willing to explore ways in which individual language needs can be met in the best way possible for each student.
