I usually give exercises to my students to master the foreign language. Sometimes I ask them to teach me their favorite game to practice their conversation skills. This is also another way of motivating them to use the foreign language. I normally begin by eliciting as much information from the student about why they need to learn the language, how much experience they have had with it, what goals and objectives they have set for themselves in their language studies, etc etc etc so that i can understnad how I can best plan a teachign strategy that would suit the student's individual learning needs. |
