My approach focuses on helping students improve through regular speaking practice, real-life conversations , and immediate correction. I guide learners to express their ideas naturally while improving grammar, pronunciation , and sentence structure. W hat makes my lessons unique is their student-cente red and flexible design. I tailor activities based on each student’s level and interests, focusing on practical communication rather than memorization, so students can build confidence and fluency in a supportive environment. |

Hello đź‘‹, I'm Kelly, a 22 year old student in medicine. I've been doing tutoring for a little over 7years now. Of course varying in difficulty as the time went by. I'm a Portuguese native speaker and was taught German, French and English at school to a C1 level. So far I've focused mainly on English teaching as well as beginner French and German. I have a lot of experience teaching vocabulary to beginner students but I am also proficient in grammar teaching. |

My teaching approach is centered on helping learners gain real confidence in using a new language in everyday life, not just memorizing rules. I focus on communication first, because language is most useful when it is actively spoken, heard, read, and written in meaningful situations. In my lessons, I use a communicative and learner-cente red approach where students are encouraged to speak as much as possible through guided conversations , role-plays, and real-life scenarios. Mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning, so students feel comfortable practicing without fear. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, so learners understand how language is actually used rather than learning it in isolation.
What makes my lessons unique is the balance between structure and flexibility. Each lesson is adapted to the learner’s goals, level, and interests, so the content always feels relevant and practical. I also include interactive activities such as discussions, storytelling, ... |

By using the Silent Way methodology I act as a mere facilitator of the conversation and encourage my students to be more active in their learning. I say as little as possible so that the student can take control of their learning process and there is a big emphasis on pronunciation . The students make no use of their mother tongue in this methodology.
I also use the Community Language Learning teaching methods which places a great emphasis on the building a great relationship between myself and the student. This methodology enables the student to feel very comfortable in class in order to minimize any blocks to learning. |

My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in grammar and targeted vocabulary suited to the student's current level, then actively developing their speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills through practical exercises. This enables learners to generate output and comprehend input across any real-world scenario, rather than relying on artificial thematic lessons like "visiting the doctor" or holiday prep, which I find inefficient and disconnected from true fluency.
M y lessons benefit from my own personal journey mastering French from zero to C1/C2 level, giving me unique insight into common learner hurdles, such as confusing verb conjugations, idiomatic gaps, or the intermediate plateau, and precise ways to overcome them with clear, patient explanations. I can adapt to each student's questions, no matter how many, to foster confidence and rapid progress through customized drills and immersive practice. |
