You don't waste a single learning moment with Thay Thanh I am a language teacher myself and as a result, I can be quite critical of the teaching when I learn another language. However, with Thay Thanh Pham, such thoughts do not enter my head. I work from beginning of the lesson until the end, and we cover all the aspects of learning that I feel are important for mastery of the language: social chat where I just have to make do with the little I know and communicate; pronunciation (essential for Vietnamese. It's probably the most difficult aspect of the language; and a good communicative textbook that we work through methodically. Thay makes me work hard, but he's interested in communicating, finding out about me, patient and really thorough.
