I speak some Korean, but not fluently. I lived in Korea for a couple of years, back in the 80s. I do not currently study the Korean language, but am considering maybe making an effort to improve.
I 'm considering whether or not there might be some merit to meeting with a tutor once or twice a month for some linguistic guidance.
I'm not looking for strict, formal lessons, but rather more for a casual, informal meeting, where someone could evaluate where I am at, and could advise me on what might be a good way for me to approach learning the language.
I read and write Korean, and can get by in most situations and with basic conversations , but I have huge holes in my language ability. Nothing has prevented me from studying the language for the past few decades, except perhaps a lack of any real motivation. So at this point I'm not really sure what I want to do with the language. But I think I should do something with it.
If you want to evaluate my pronunciation , you can hear me speaking in Korean [removed] . This is a good representatio n of what I sound like, except that I was speaking from a script that I had memorized, so it makes me appear to be MUCH more fluent than I really am, which quickly becomes apparent if you meet me in person.

I am interested in learning the Polish language because it is my family heritage and I have travelled to Poland recently and would like to go back being able to speak more of the language. I am a beginner at this language but my grandmother is fluent so I hope to practice with her. Ideally I would like to have at least one lesson a week of two or more hours.

I would like to learn basic to intermediary spoken Japanese -- both for use within a professional working context and within a casual, colloquial context. I work and live in downtown Toronto at a film organization.
My proficiency level in Japanese is close to zero, but having visited Japan and watched many Japanese films, find I am able to pick out some words, in a spoken context, and read some kanji as Chinese is my background.
I would like to improve on fluidity of speech and dialogue, mostly conversationa l.
I would like to dedicate 2 hours per week or every other week, ideally on the weekends.
Ideally, I am looking for a teacher who is a native Japanese speaker who is also fluent in English. I have a strong preference for someone who has interest or experience in the arts and cinema, and is able to teach me the language through a film/art-rela ted lens.
