I would like to study abroad in japan within the next 2 years and would like to have a good knowlkedge of the language.
I am a beginner so i wouldl like to learn speaking reading and grammar. i would like to take a lesson once every week or two.

I used to be an advanced speaker of Japanese, having lived and work in Kyoto and Osaka for 10 years (1970-80). Now I am going to Tokyo to conduct corporate training in Japanese, and need some coaching about how to expres the training content in Japanese. I need about 1 or 2 days of coaching, and of course expect to pay. I am hoping that there will be somebody in the greater Sacramento area.

W hy I am learning this language- I am planning for a
foreign exchange student program and want to speak the language as best as possible
A reas I need improvement in- all. I have never studied this at all except extreme basics (hello, good-bye, etc.)
How much time i want to dedicate- a couple of hours a week in lessons and private practice

I would say that I'm still in the beginner stage. I want to learn the Japanese language because I'm fascinated with the culture. I dated a japanese girl that I met while stationed in Sasebo and have visited many times. I feel that I would like to live there one day but have found it difficult to learn the language while living here. I can dedicate as much time as it will take. I think I need to understand more sentence structure and conversation. I'm looking for someone who will be able to teach me differences between the male and female language as well as the business usage so that I might one day find a job there.
