Hello!
My mother's side is Slovenian, and with my dual citizenship, I was hoping to learn my maternal side's language and possibly understand some of my ancestor's music work (Matija Tomc). I am a beginner, and although I do know the alphabet and idea of duality, I do not know much else.
Look ing for someone very knowledgeable in the language, who can teach in a way that makes learning permanent.
I am looking to dedicate maybe one or two lessons a week, although I am open to suggestions for better learning. I travel for work, so I don't want to take on too much.

I will be moving to Slovenia in 2018. I am marring a wonderful Slovenian woman and wish to have a comfortable start in Slovene before I get there in order to further my language studies. My fiance parents do not speak English and I wish to surprise them next time we meet even though it was fun communicating with them through hand gestures and facial expressions lol.

Why you are learning your foreign language (e.g., career advancement, etc.). I am trying to learn this language because my wife is a native Slovenian and I cannot communicate with my in-laws. I'd like to learn the language so the next time we travel to see her parents I can have an idea of what they're saying and respond at a beginner/inte rmediate level.
Your proficiency level (e.g., beginner, etc.). A beginner in the truest sense.
The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.), if any. All, but I'd like to focus on conversationa l Slovene.
How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons. An hour, maybe more, a week (1-2 days).
Wha t qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher. I'm looking for someone who is knowledgeable in the language (preferably a native speaker); Patience as I am not very good at learning languages; A 'building block' learning approach;
