Traveling for work, I've learned that knowing any language is a definite asset to have, not just for career reasons, but general ability to get around.
I recently decided that it would be great to learn more than just a handful of words, and decided that Spanish might be a good place to start; though I am interested in a few others, such as Korean, Japanese, French, etc.

My wife is Chinese, and after 5 years of sitting on the sidelines, I feel it is time for me to try and learn Mandarin. Also, all my employees are Chinese, and I do some business in China. I speak no Mandarin aside from a few words and phrases.
