I do not speak any Polish at this point. My family is Polish and I would like to learn because I want to speak with my Babcia and to be able to communicate with my relatives when I go to Poland. I would like to focus on some basic conversationa l Polish to begin with. I am looking to spend about 2-3 hours a week on language lessons (this does not include the amount of time I would devote to practice). I am interested in finding a patient teacher - Polish pronunciation is difficult and I've been told that my accent is lacking.

To whom it may concern,
I am eager to learn the polish language as I work for and am closely involved with a polish family, some of whom do not speak much english. Also, my late grandparents were Polish and wanted me to learn to speak the language, but they passed away several years ago.
Living with a polish family has, of course, given me a little experience in using the language but I feel that some type of structured lesson would help me advance more quickly.I am still a beginner- I have learned quite a bit of vocabulary and can form many simple sentences ( eg: 'I am really hungry', 'What do you want for breakfast?' etc.) I feel I've gotten stuck now, in trying to make more complex sentences and especially how verbs and words conjugate and must all work together- very confusing!
I am not particular about how much time I spend in lessons- I feel the lessons are necessary however I am also trying to speed the learning process by corresponding with polish-speaki ng 'pen pals' via the internet, which takes up some of the time I have to spend on this activity.
I am open to ideas as far as how this will work.

Hello,
I would like to learn to speak and write in Polish. I am a beginner. I do know how to say a handful of words, so I will basically be starting from scratch.
I would like to learn to communicate in Polish because my partner is Polish. He speaks English fluently, as do his parents, but I think that learning to communicate in his family's mother tongue would be an integral part of our relationship, as well as the relationship that will develop with his family.
I would like to thoroughly understand the proper use of grammar; written as well as conversationa l, I would like to perfect (or come close to perfecting) my pronunciation and I would also like to understand the Polish culture.
I would like to dedicate 2 - 3 hours per week taking lessons.
T he qualities that I am looking for in a teacher are kindness, patience and I would like my instructor to be very thorough, as learning this language is very important to me.
