My mother is italian and we still have family in Laurenzana Italy. I went to Venice 2 years ago for a one week of immersion in classes every day.
I prefer improvement mostly in conversation.
I can dedicate 4 to 6 hours a week.
A language teacher should have patience and be able to laugh.

I am learning Italian because I like the challenge of learning a new language and my husband and I travel to Italy frequently. I have taken Italian language classes in Italy several times and have also had a tutor work with me in Victoria. I consider myself to be at an intermediate level. The area in which I feel I need the most improvement is conversation. I was hoping to work with a tutor twice a week (2 x 1.5 hours/week). It is important to me that the instructor be a fluent, natural speaker of the language.

I would like to learn to read and speak arabic out of interest because I would like to read the Quran. I was taught to read arabic as a child but do not remember how to spell. I can say some arabic prayers from memory.
