I was born here in Canada but my parents are Portuguese and Italian. When I was in elementary I took both language classes to learn but I never stuck with it. I am 22 years old. I know more Portuguese then I do Italian. I understand alot of Portuguese but I dont know how to speak. I want to learn. Also I have a boyfriend for a year and a half and his family only speak Portuguese. I want to learn to comunicate with them. Im tired of aksing people, 'what did she say,' or 'what he say.' Thank you.

I am SERIOUS about learning Portuguese, would like to get started as soon as possible and would be at a beginner level. Having a second language will definately be an asset for me in my particular carreer. I have travelled to Portugal 2 years in a row and plan on returning every year. My goal is to be able to read, write and speak Portuguese at a level enabling me to interact with people of Portuguese decent without difficulty. I hope to be able to dedicate 8 hours each month considering our schedules allow for this to happen. I only ask that my Teacher be patient and interested in helping me reach my goal at a reasonable pace. I am willing to meet in a City/Town other than the one I live in if it is more convenient.

Good Evening,
I am interested in learning Brazilian Portuguese, if available. I have no previous experience so we would be starting at a beginner stage. I have met a good friend that is from Brazil and would like to better communicate with him. I am willing to dedicate around 3-4 hours a week in learning the language.

1. My proficiency level is beginner.

3. Grammar and conversation.
