Hello my name is Amber & I live very close to San Antonio. In high school I took German but now that's just a distant memory. I have been out of school for a while & I am very interested in learning Italian. I am also interested in French. Being capable of speaking another language is important to help create who I am. I have a great job and someday will be travelling to taste wine. I would like an hour or two a week learning grammer & conversation. I would like to improve my conversation, grammar and vocabulary.

My proficiency level is beginner. I have no background in Itailian. I have taken a couple of basic Spanish classes.
I want to learn a foreign language for several reasons. First, I think it is important for everyone to know a second language. Second, I would like to eventually go back to grad school, and I think knowing a second language would really help me get into and be successful after school. Third, I don't think learning should stop after school, and I think exposure to new cultures is vital to personal growth. There is no better way to understand a culture than understanding the language of the culture.
I would like to learn how to read, write and speak the language. I am willing to dedicate 2-4 hours a week, but I need to have a teacher who will be flexible with my schedule. My job is demanding, and it is not uncommon for me to have to leave town on a moment's notice.
