I have always wanted to learn a second language. Since I live in an area where there is a large Russian population I thought it would be interesting to learn the language. Also, I could practice by speaking as well as buying the newspapers to supplement my reading ability. I am a beginner and would like to learn all aspects of the language, writing, reading and especially speaking. I am looking for a teacher who is patient and flexible regarding time.

Beginner vietnamese, native language english. Want practice speaking, listening and reading. I have started learning some vietnamese with RosettaStone software and my friends help me a little. I have some elementary childrens books I am reading but I really need someone to direct my learning so I can pull together all the bit and pieces of vocabulary. I can devote as much as an hour a day in my office to learning vietnamese - will even exchange proofing school papers etc as well as pay for the tutoring.

My fiancee will be moving from Ukraine to Texas next year. I would like to speak enough Russian to be able to adequately communicate with her via our phone, email and SKYPE contacts and also when she arrives. Also she will likely need some English lessons with her daughter when they arrive even though they are both now taking English lessons in Ukraine.
