Although I took three years of Spanish in college (20 years ago) and have been working with Rosetta Stone CDs at home, my proficiency is not much above 'beginner.' I can read and understand very basic Spanish, but I've never been conversationa l.
I want to become fluent in Spanish because I feel like I've already got a good foundation to build upon. My company is expanding operations into Latin America, and fluency could lead to some nice opportunities as well.
I need improvement in all areas, but I'm most interested in becoming conversationa l.
I could dedicate a night a week (up to several hours) for one-on-one or small group instruction.
I would like a teacher that is enthusiastic and positive. Spanish classes in college were very frustrating because I just couldn't 'get it' and I want to very much.

I am primarily interested in learning modern standard arabic. I have some interest in colloquial dialects of North Africa and the Persian Gulf (Bahrain, Oman, UAE). My motivation for learning the language is mostly that I simply like the language, but also for use during travel, and possibly in my career. I am looking for a lesson of about one hour a week. Major goals right now are improving grammar and building vocabulary. I can already communicate some basic ideas, but I am something of a beginner.
