Ms. Mikhailiv,
I am interested in being tutored in Ukrainian one on one this summer. I have learned a little Ukrainian as a result of my wife's (Christine Tymkiw) efforts to teach our two young daughters (ages 4 and 2) Ukrainian. (She speaks to them only in Ukrainian.) My vocabulary is limited to basic words and phrases.
I wish to learn Ukrainian on a personal level so that I may more fully participate in Ukrainian activities with my children. I also wish to learn Ukrainian on a business level as my law firm practices solely in Customs and International Trade matters and I have received inquiries asking for assistance from Ukrainians looking to sell goods into the US market. In addition, the partners of my firm have indicated that they want me to focus on developing clients from the countries of Eastern European, Russia and the former Soviet Republics.
I am willing to devote a substantial amount of time to this project over the next few months, for example, 1-2 hour sessions twice during the work week and once on Saturday morning or afternoon for a total of three sessions a week.

I will be studying in London, England, for the next two years and I would like to travel around Europe and eventually sail around the world. I need to learn as many languages possible... The top 5 languages are 1. Ukranian 2. Russian 3. German 4. Farsi. 5 Mandarin.
I have a Russian penpal and a Ukranian penpal and I would like to learn these languages first.
I am a beginner, I have only just begun the Pimsleur Language programs for Russian and German. I would like a teacher that would be interested in teaching me in person for the summer and then keeping in contact via e-mail or phone for the rest of the year.

Hi, I am very interested in learning the Ukrainian language. Since I have no experience in the past, I want to start out with the basics of the language and then advance from there. The reason I want to learn this language so badly is because my girlfriend that I truely love, was brought up in a Ukrainian school in Toronto. I want to learn the language so that I am more familiar with her background. I hope to be able to ask her to marry me while speaking in Ukrainian.
