I'm a beginner in Japanese. My dream is to learn this language and become a translator. I want to start fresh and start relearning Japanese. I want to learn Pashto prior to traveling to Afghanistan so that I can more easily interact with local Afghans and immerse myself in the country's rich culture.
M y current proficiency level is absolute beginner - I have learned the alphabet and am working on completing a level 1 course, but this will only provide me with a very basic introduction to the language.
I am hoping to dedicate about 10-20 hours to tutoring before I leave for Afghanistan (in addition to self-study).
I would like to find a language teacher that is patient, friendly, and has a good understanding of grammar - I want to understand how to form my own sentences, not simply memorize whole phrases.
