I learned German French Spanish and a little bit of Swahili in school - high school and university; I am not fluent by any means but I have a good ear for languages, I'm a singer and vocal teacher.
We have a Dutch visitor coming in November 2008; I'd like to be able to converse with her about ordinary everyday things

My name is Danielle Scire. I am half Italian and half French. I do speak French, but i have lost it over the years and i want to refresh myself. I am looking to improve myself in grammar, conjunction and just basically remembering all the words i use to when i was young. I can hold a conversation i just catch myself forgetting words and i cant understand some words, but i can read average and written is not too good. I want to spend as much time as i need to make myself perfect! I am looking for someone who really going to be able to help me reach my goal. Something fun and i am not sure if i would feel comfortable with other student around but i am willing to try it out. I am a bit shy and when i make a mistake i kinda tend to pull way after. This is something i wanted to do for a long time and i was browsing over the internet about french teachers and this site just caught my eye.

I have no experience in Swedish what-so-ever. However, I am going on an exchange to Sweden in a year and have lots of time to learn!
I know Swedish is a hard language, and that a lot of people speak English, but I'd like to know a lot about it before going there.
The amount of time for language lessons would depend on the season. Right now (during university) I would probably only have time for one or two hours a week, but during the summer, hopefully more.
As for teacher qualaties, I am looking for someone that speaks fluent, understandabl e english, and someone who is patient and understanding to my beginner position.

I have taken a spanish course before in school so i am a little bit above beginner i guess you could say. I have a great interest in learning how to speak spanish. I travel to spanish countrys all the time so i am very self motivated to learn as quickly as possible.
