Good day,
I am currently fluent in French as my second language. I am looking to study Pushto as I will be going to Afghanistan in Aug of 2008. I feel that having an understanding of the local language will aid in my job while I am over there. I have no experience in Pushto or any other Arabic based language. I would like to focus on conversation as my primary learning with reading and writing secondary. I would be willing to work two to three evenings a week for 1-2 hours to learn the language. There would have to be some flexibility as I am frequently away from Ottawa for training and business.
I would be looking for a teacher able to do one on one language instruction and have assignments that could be given to me while I am on my business trips in order to progress my learning while I am away from Ottawa.
